"IDestroy have been eating riffs for breakfast… massive guitar everywhere.” – Kerrang!

Bristol grrrl rockers IDestroy have revealed the video for their new single ‘Lemons’, taken from their upcoming EP Pure Joy Of Life, out March 9th.

Featuring the band playing in a variety of lemon-themed surroundings, the video is a tongue-in-cheek accompaniment to the attitude-drenched track. While a punchy bassline descends into a chaotic chorus with driving guitars and feisty vocals, the video sees playful lemonade-themed antics involving spraying lemonade and eating lemons, while the band play in front of vibrant lemon-coloured backgrounds.

‘Lemons’ is the first track to be taken from their upcoming EP, Pure Joy Of Life, the follow up to their debut EP Vanity Loves Me. Released last year to rave reviews, it earned them support from the likes of Kerrang!, Planet Rock and BBC Introducing.

Pure Joy Of Life is again an onslaught of infectious punk rock. A riotous combination of gritty basslines and poppy vocal harmonies, the EP channels the spirit of punk swagger into an irresistible party-punk sound. The opening track, ‘Milkshake Sky’, sets the tone with huge guitars and irresistibly melodic harmonies giving way to fuzzy bass and driving drums, before exploding back into its anthemic chorus.

‘Lemons’ leads into the EP’s title track, which juxtaposes overdriven bass with sweet reverb-drenched guitar hooks and an ethereal breakdown. ‘Alcohol And Vitamins’ sees a change of pace, with a slower, grungy guitar riff and intoxicating harmonies, before the final track ‘And You Know’ delivers just under two minutes of relentless, driving punk. With only one track exceeding the 3-minute mark, Pure Joy Of Life is a collection of concise punk rock perfection that will leave you wanting more with each listen.

Having built up a loyal fan base playing to packed out venues in their hometown of Bristol, the band have been making a name for themselves on the live circuit touring relentlessly across the UK.

With no sign of slowing up, they will be heading out to support The Men That Will Not Be Blamed For Nothing on their UK tour in March, before heading out to play a run of headline shows in Europe in April.
